Without hesitation I recommend Perseverance Jazz for any occasion.

We first heard Perseverance Jazz Band at the Farmer’s Cabinet in Philadelphia. We had a great time listening to the amazing combination of blues, jazz and the sultry sound of their vocalist, Cecilia, who brought heart and soul to every tune. When we decided to get married in Annapolis Maryland, we were very fortunate that the band didn’t mind the commute or the challenge of balancing on the deck of a moving boat because they made our wedding more fun and more memorable than we could have imagined. We asked for several songs that they don’t usually play and they did an awesome job learning and arranging our favorites from the 40s such as Fly Me To The Moon and Begin The Beguine. From upbeat jazz background music during cocktails, prayerful hymns before and after the ceremony and a lively dance beat that got even the 20 year olds up and dancing, Jon and his group had everyone talking about the classy addition to our very special day.

As we cruised back into the Annapolis Harbor, Cecilia topped off the night with a moving rendition of Stardust, one of our favorites. We’ll always remember the intensity that she brought to the words and the melodic happiness that filled the air with Patrick on keyboard, Chad on drums, Bob on clarinet and Jon on bass. Perseverance Jazz adds personality and creativity to every song. Our family and friends are still talking about that “amazing” band and we’re already planning to have them play at a birthday celebration next year. We can’t say enough good things about their professionalism, personality, energy and talent. Without hesitation I recommend Perseverance Jazz for any occasion. We know they will exceed your expectations. — Denise G. & Gail S., North Wales, Pa. 11/18/2013
